I would like my students to use scrumblr to categorize their thoughts. In my history class I would want the students to use the program and think about the pros and cons of WW1 in America. Then I would like the students to compare thoughts with each other and decide or at least debate whether they would have gone to War or stayed out of the War. I would want the students to just think off their top of their heads and support their ideas with what we went over in class. Hopefully there would be different views from different students.

Seating Chart
Microsoft PowerPoint was a good software to use because it allowed my viewers to get a good visual aid of the classrooms by showing a diagram of the desk and objects in the classroom along with a seating chart.
This tool limited me because PowerPoint slides are a small area of room to work with. I might want to look into using a program that allows me to use a larger page to put material on.

Dream Computer for My History Class
There are many different computers and gadgets that would help aid the students by allowing us to use the devices during our class time to expand our learning for history. I have assembled a short list of computer devices that I feel that my classroom needs. The students are already using technology all around them so adding more technology in the classroom would give the students a better opportunity to succeed.
The first device I want to have in my classroom is a projector. The projector would need a drop down screen to view the display to make it easier to see. There are many things projectors can be used for. If the teacher wanted to show an educational video the projector would allow them to do so. Projector would make it easy to show current events in class that are going on. Projector makes classroom presentation for student easier because it allows them to use computer software like PowerPoint to help them with their speech.
The next device is the Hp photosmart all-in-one color inkjet. This device would allow the teacher and student to print, copy, or scan items from the computer or into the computer. This device would make it easy for the teacher because if the teacher needed to print out handouts it would be easily available to the teacher. The students could use the printer to print out their reports and turn them in to be graded. The scanner is useful for showing mistakes that might have happened on test or classroom assignments.
The following device is the Apple Mac Pro 3GB Ram desktop pc hard drive. The Mac system graphics are so much better than the other types of operating systems. The Mac would make it easier for the teacher to draw their students into the presentation as well as help show the kids who to work and use some of the newer software that could help them in their presentations. Mac is slowly becoming the leading operating system so it would be smart to have the operating system that most the kids will have when they go home.
The next device I would need is Acer 19" widescreen monitor. This monitor would allow the teacher with the best type of visual that is needed to fully see the use of the Mac software. This monitor has good graphics and is also one of the cheapest monitors a person could find.
Logitech computer wireless mouse and wireless keyboard is needed for the desktop computer. These two items are very cheap and allow for the teacher to move around a bit without having cords that limit the teacher to standing or sitting in one spot. A mouse and a keyboard are two very important devices that are needed to help run a computer. Without the two devices, a person would only be allowed to turn on the computer and stare at the screen.
Below is a chart of all the devices and the asking price of each item.
ViewSonic Projector $369.00
AccuScreens for Projector $180.00
Hp photosmart all-in-one color ink jet $69.99
Apple Mac Pro 3gb Ram destop pc hardrive $2,499.99
Acer 19" widescreen monitor $82.00
Logitech computer mouse and keyboard $54.99
Total $3,255.97
I hope the committee will see that I am not asking for too much. I just want the basic technology that will help students learn more about history and allow me to give the students a better opportunity for learning.

Assignment 3
My learning tests open my eyes in many ways to the way I learn and teach others. The test showed that I am always on the alert for what needs immediate attention or what might provide a bit of action, excitement or entertainment, they engage quickly with their environment. I seek and enjoy freedom, good-natured, direct, and tolerant and I am often the one who provides levity. I have a way with dealing with people on a very equal platform and am not easily star struck. Rank, celebrity and status mean little when I am face to face with another individual. I act without thinking. I also tend to have natural mediating skills. I love having fun and if things are too quiet I may provide the entertainment or distraction. I learn by imitation and keen observers. I teach through example.
I find the results of my test to be a very good assumption of the way I teach and share with others. Any time I have the opportunity to share about mission trips or my faith with others I often use examples that help people relate to their everyday lives. I hate sitting in lectures and almost falling asleep because of a teacher who is monotone and could care less if he is there or not. I like to move around and be able to bring my audience into my speeches. This whole chapter has opened my eyes to see that many people can have different views of learning, and I need to realize that instead of forcing my ways on people. I think I should keep my teaching ways the way they are because they are effective and more people get involved. I do however need to be respectful of people or are just scared to death to act or talk in a group or discussion.

Assignment 1 Educational Technology
Technology in classrooms has grown at a rapid paste over the past fifteen years. When I first started school, I remember that hardly any of our classrooms had computers. The classrooms only had those huge old mid to late nineties gateway computers, which most kids only used to play Organ trail or some other type of non-educational games. Educational technology has grown into an almost everyday use in schools and colleges. I would consider educational technology any forms of technology that helps students or teachers in their learning process.
If a person would walk into a high school or college today they might see many different forms of technology that can be used in the class room. Most schools have some way of distributing laptops for a semester or school year. These laptops might have to be used for projects or e-learning sites where students have to do assignments or make projects to obtain a successful grade in the class. Teachers on the other hand use technology to give visual aids to students and allow more opportunity for students to learn the information instead of listening to a teacher lecture for an hour in class. Technology allows students to see images or videos that the teacher might be trying to relate them. Some of my favorite times in class were when I was allowed to make movies or presentations using PowerPoint or other software, this usually gave me a chance to show that I understood the material and applied it using my critical thinking ability.
There are both pros and cons when dealing with technology in the classroom. A person has to understand the appropriate grade level that students should be given the trust with certain products. I would not want elementary students with laptops or Ipads. Also a teacher or principal should make sure that the students and teachers accept the responsibility and understand that there would be no cyber bullying or use of pictures of students without written consent. If use appropriately, technology would be a fun way for students to learn and for teachers to be able to share ideas with one another. I believe the best way to approach the situation is to slowing work technology into the courses as a student advances from grade to grade. This would allow a student the maximum opportunities at a high school and college level instead of just trying to throw in all the technology in all the grades. More mature students in their education should be trusted with the capability in increasing their learning with technology.
